Get on top of Scams & Frauds

Attended the recent webinar by Reed Screening titled "Hiring Fraud in your organisation". It was a real eye opener. Learnt that impersonation fraud is on the rise and increasingly those agents looking to attack companies IT systems and telecoms companies are tapping into a whole network of fraudulent IT staff that are trying to get hired by their target companies. These individuals can obtain false references from businesses that openly advertise their services and some have even gone to the extreme of setting up their own IT recruitment agencies to tempt organisations with lower than average rates for tech staff.

But as they say if it looks too good to be true.....it probably is!

"Identity fraud surges in the UK: 2024 saw a 33% rise in fraud cases, reaching 4.1 million incidents. In 2025, identity fraud cases grew by 5%, heavily impacting the telecommunications sector and involving false documents in 30% of bank and insurance applications."
